Angus Paterson

Angus joined the team in 2012. He is partner at Iris Capital MENA, based in Dubai (UAE). He’s currently supporting companies in UAE and South-East Asia.

Prior to joining the team, Angus was responsible for setting up and leading the venture capital activities of Abu Dhabi backed twofour54, tasked with providing sector specialized funding and support to help develop the Middle East’s entrepreneur base in digital business, media and entertainment.

Previously, Angus worked for the ventures division of Ingenious Media, a UK based media investment and advisory business, targeting growth capital deals across the broader media/digital sectors. He also worked for Genesis Investments, a specialized fund providing early stage finance to growing media businesses in the UK.

He started his TMT career in the corporate finance practice of Arthur Andersen (latterly Deloitte) where he also trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Angus graduated from Cambridge University in Oriental Studies and Modern Languages (UK) and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (UK).
