Qiushu Chen

Qiushu Chen is a Research Scientist at PARC, a position held since June 2023, following a tenure as a Member of the Research Staff and Postdoctoral Scientist at the same institution from June 2019 to April 2023. Expertise includes prototyping and optimizing multi-modal optical detection modules for flow cytometry and developing integrated fiber optics sensing systems for structural health monitoring. Prior experience includes a Research Fellowship at the University of Michigan from August 2012 to June 2019, focusing on theoretical models for laser processes in biomaterial-integrated micro-resonators, and serving as Technical Lead for the Midwest I-Corps Node's Customer Discovery Program, conducting feasibility research in histology. Early research experience at Peking University involved simulations of optical modes for nanoparticle detection. Qiushu Chen holds a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B.S. in Physics from Peking University.
