Brian Keegan

Brian Keegan currently serves as Special Advisor to Minister Peter Burke TD at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, a role held since April 2024. Keegan has extensive experience in public policy and taxation, holding the position of Director of Public Policy and Taxation at Chartered Accountants Ireland since May 2005, where Brian is also a member of the institute's Senior Management Team and serves as its spokesman on related matters. Additionally, Keegan has contributed as a columnist for Business Post since September 2014 and as a contributor for the Irish Examiner since July 2015. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Taxation and Organisational Behaviour from the University of Limerick, a Fellowship from the Irish Taxation Institute in Tax Law/Taxation, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy from Maynooth University.
