Akram Benalia, PhD PMP Lean Six Sigma Cobit has a diverse and extensive work experience. Akram currently holds the position of Vice President IT & Operations at Iristel since September 2017. Prior to that, they worked at Bell for 10 years in various roles, including IT Delivery Director, IT Project Director, Program Manager, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, Deployment Manager, and Head Quality Control. Before joining Bell, they worked as a Systems Engineer at the Canadian Space Agency from 1999 to 2007. Additionally, they worked as a University Professor at the University of Lille 1 from 1991 to 1999. Earlier in their career, they were a Research Engineer at the Computer Science Laboratory of Lille from 1991 to 1995, and a Software Engineer at ISI (Intelligent Systems International) in 1991.

Akram Benalia, PhD PMP Lean Six Sigma Cobit, earned a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the University of Algiers (USTHB, Algeria) from 1985 to 1990. Akram then pursued a Master's degree in Industrial Automation at the University of Valenciennes (France) from 1990 to 1991. Following that, they obtained a Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Lille 1 Sciences and Technology from 1991 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, Akram has also obtained several certifications including COBIT 5 - Governance and Management of Enterprise IT from APMG-International, ITIL V3 Foundation from EXIN, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Mouvement québécois de la qualité, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
