Dean Collins

Dean Collins has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Dean is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Force Therapeutics since July 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Engineering Leader at the same company from February 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining Force Therapeutics, Dean worked at IROKO Partners Limited where they served as the Chief Technology Officer. During their tenure, they led the redevelopment of the entire technology stack and built an Engineering team across Africa and New York. Dean also focused on aligning the company's vision on technology for all operations, from content acquisition/distribution to linear channel delivery. Dean was responsible for designing, developing, and releasing an iOS mobile application and managing a growing team of engineers.

Dean's previous experiences include serving as the Chief Technology Officer at 3RD sense Australia Pty Ltd from November 2012 to April 2015. Dean managed the production team, implemented project management and time tracking systems, and introduced staff reviews.

Dean co-founded Big Click Studios in January 2008 and served as the Director until November 2012. Dean targeted local businesses and aimed to expand support in Newcastle & Sydney. Dean also worked as a Web Engineer at 3RDSense Pty Ltd from August 2008 to January 2009.

Prior to that, Dean worked as a Web Developer & Technical Advisor at YouPlay.com, a Joint Venture between Lovatts Interactive and Southern Cross View. Dean helped develop a scalable content management system for online puzzle games and facilitated community-building.

Dean began their career as a Software Developer at Lovatts Publications in 2006. Dean worked on internal projects and customer-facing websites, including creating a magazine subscription management system.

Through their various roles, Dean has demonstrated expertise in technology leadership, team management, project development, and innovation.

Dean Collins obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of New England (AU) from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2003, they attended Gosford High School, though no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for their high school education. In addition to their formal education, Dean also obtained the certification of AWS Certified Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services in November 2013.
