Christine Madigan

Agile Lead at Ironpaper

Christine Madigan is currently a Junior Agile Lead at Ironpaper, but they have also been an educator at Cape Fear Academy from August 2020 to May of 2022. During their time as an educator, they have worked hard to build a culture of continuous improvement, constant communication and collaboration, and personal accountability. Christine has also implemented different communication styles to match the unique needs of every team member to increase engagement and retention. Additionally, they have prepared and facilitated daily scrum ceremonies and meetings to encourage cohesion and increase productivity.

Madigan has always been focused on social-emotional learning in addition to academic learning, concentrating on conflict resolution and how to communicate with teammates. This focus has led their to be a servant leader who provides guidance to their team on how to be self-organized when it comes to learning and teamwork. Christine has also designed curriculum that promotes solving problems through experimentation, without fear of judgment or failure.

In addition to their work with the curriculum, Madigan has also developed plans and resources required to meet goals and objectives while working with the team to remove impediments. Christine has designed long-term and short-term plans to complete the curriculum designated by the organization while leaving room for flexibility to alter plans if needed. Furthermore, they have administered assessments to monitor progress on learning and analyzed data to make improvements. Lastly, they created and tracked report metrics on team performance and progress.

Throughout their time as an educator, Madigan has constantly communicated and collaborated with their peers and leaders to review data and make decisions about future curriculum ideas. Christine has also prepared and presented detailed status reports each quarter to send out about overall performance, areas of growth and areas of improvement. Additionally, they coached and mentored a seventh-grade girls basketball team of 10 players that focused on team performance rather than individual successes.
