Aleksey Golovinskiy

Aleksey Golovinskiy has a comprehensive work experience in the field of software engineering and machine learning. Aleksey started their career at Google in 2009 as a Staff Software Engineer, where they worked on the 3D reconstruction, meshing, and texturing pipeline for various products in Google Geo. Throughout their time at Google, they transitioned between individual contributor roles, technical lead, and team lead manager. Aleksey addressed various aspects of the pipeline, including quality improvements, infrastructure, scaling, and long-term planning. In 2023, Aleksey joined Irreverent Labs as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer.

Aleksey Golovinskiy pursued their education at various prestigious institutions. Aleksey started their academic journey at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2000 to 2004, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and Physics. Following this, they attended Princeton University, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Computer Science from 2004 to 2006. Continuing their studies at Princeton, Aleksey completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from 2004 to 2010.
