Denis Descheemaeker

Denis Descheemaeker is the current CEO of IRT Saint Exupéry. Denis previously worked as a Senior Manager for Emerging Technologies & Concepts and Head of ProtoSpace at Airbus Group from November 2016 to December 2019. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Emerging Technologies & Concepts department for France, Spain & UK within the Airbus CTO organisation. Their mission was to develop the means to analyze game changing innovation trends, assess and test disruptive technologies to create value, and turn ideas into tangible concepts thanks to the ProtoSpace network.

From February 2013 to October 2016, Denis was the Head of Environment & Qualification System Design Office at AIRBUS. In this role, they were responsible for the environmental department and for system engineering perimeter for all Airbus programs. Denis was also in charge of lighting Direct Effect, Electromagnetic Hazard, Software & Hardware qualification. Denis successfully set up 2 new transnational groups during their time in this role.

Denis is an experienced leader with a proven track record in driving change and improving performance within organisations. Denis is a strong advocate for simplifying financial management processes and has successfully initiated and led several HR projects focusing on enhancing individual performance.
