Kirsten Hale Lora

Kirsten Hale Lora has extensive work experience in various leadership and strategic roles. Kirsten is currently the VP Publishing at ISACA. Prior to that, they worked as the VP Learning Services at Catapult from 2020 to 2022. From 2018 to 2020, Kirsten served as the Senior Director, Product Strategy, Transformation, and Learning Operations at AICPA. Before that, they were the Senior Director, Product Strategy and Transformation at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants from 2017 to 2018.

Kirsten also has a background in corporate learning solutions. Kirsten was the Senior Product Director, Business Training, and Business Transformation Services at Global Knowledge Training from 2004 to 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager, PMO, and Leader of Corporate Project Management Training and Development at BCBSNC from 2002 to 2004.

Earlier in their career, Kirsten held roles such as Assistant Director, Web Integration Services at Collegis Learning Network/Eduprise in 2001, IT Team Lead/Business Systems Analyst at Collegis Learning Networks/Eduprise in 1999, and Product Manager, Online Course Development Tool at Collegis Learning Network/Eduprise in 1998. Kirsten also worked at North Carolina State University as a Web Designer, Technical Writer, and Instructor, Technical Writing from 1996 to 1998.

Kirsten Hale Lora completed coursework for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Information Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1998 to 2004. Kirsten also obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Technical Communication from North Carolina State University between 1996 and 1998. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English from the University of Florida from 1991 to 1996.

In addition to their formal education, Kirsten has obtained several certifications including the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2003, and the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from EXIN. Kirsten also holds several additional ITIL certifications, including ITIL Continual Service Improvement (ITIL-CSI), ITIL Release Control and Validation (ITIL-RCV), ITIL Service Design (ITIL-SD), ITIL Service Operation, ITIL Service Strategy (ITIL-SS), and ITIL Service Transition (ITIL-ST). Kirsten was also a TICE Speaker in 2014, certified by Training Industry, Inc.
