Ron Lear has a wealth of experience in the field of performance improvement, product development, and quality management. Ron has worked at various organizations throughout their career, including ISACA, where they served as the Vice President of Models and Frameworks. Ron is highly knowledgeable in the CMMI framework and has been instrumental in developing and launching the CMMI Product Suite. Prior to their role at ISACA, Ron worked as the Corporate Quality Officer at Booz Allen Hamilton and as the CEO of cLear Improvement Associates. Ron also held positions at Q-Labs, Inc, Fraunhofer USA, AlliedSignal Aerospace, Resolution Trust Corporation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and the American Council on Education. Throughout their career, Ron has demonstrated expertise in performance management, process improvement, and organizational capability.

Ron Lear has a Master of Science in Business and Management Information Systems from The Johns Hopkins University, which they obtained from 1996 to 2002. Ron also holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing from Iowa State University, earned between 1978 and 1983. Ron Lear attended Kennedy High from 1976 to 1978, where they studied Journalism, Music, and Biology. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a CMMC Provisional Assessor credential from the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body in April 2020. Ron also completed Decision-Making Strategies and Strategic Thinking courses from LinkedIn in 2019.
