Benedikt Esser

Benedikt Esser is currently a Working Student in Sustainability Enhancement and the Certification Process at ISCC - International Sustainability and Carbon Certification since June 2023. Esser's professional experience includes a Master Thesis at ClimatePal focusing on carbon markets, carbon crediting, and biodiversity co-benefits, specifically in the context of reforestation in Lindlar, Germany, scheduled for March 2024 to December 2024. Previous roles include a Student Assistant at the University of Cologne from May 2022 to June 2023, a Student Internship at Bundesamt für Naturschutz in early 2022, and a Student Assistant position at WDR from August 2019 to July 2021. Esser holds a Master of Science in Naturschutz und Landschaftsökologie from The University of Bonn and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Cologne, complemented by an Abitur from Maximilian-Kolbe-Gymnasium Wegberg.
