Amr Abdelmonem

President at ISCO International

Dr. Amr Abdelmonem is the President of ISCO International. He is responsible for the technical vision and defining the optimal direction of the technology and strategic partnership efforts with wireless service and equipment providers.

Amr has more than 100 US and International patents. Based on his inventions, which are at the cutting edge of wireless networks interference technology, ISCO has been named by CRAINS as Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Chicagoland several years in a row.

Amr invented a new technique for optimizing commercial wireless networks. This patented invention facilitates operators in deploying self-optimizing network (SON) and 5G technologies. With a blend of outstanding technical skills and business acumen, he has developed business solutions including C-RAN concepts for monitoring and managing networks and PIM solutions for Tier 1 US wireless operators, creating several $500 million market opportunities and managing global sites across China, Korea, Japan and Canada as well as the US. Amr built a team that accelerated the development of key 4G and 5G LTE software and hardware solutions. Amr was also in charge of the implementation of the first successful worldwide field trial of a superconductor filter in a cellular base station.

Amr has vast experience with sourcing hardware from the Far East. He also has done business with many International wireless players in Europe, Japan, India and the Middle East.

Prior to joining ISCO, Amr held teaching positions in academia.

Dr. Abdelmonem holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland. He has more than 25 years of experience in RF and wireless.
