Daniel Y.

Daniel Y. has over 20 years of work experience in various engineering and management roles. Daniel began their career in 1999 at Hughes Network Systems as a Senior ASIC Design Engineer. In 2001, they moved to Lucent Technologies as a Senior Design Engineer. In 2004, they joined Efficient Channel Coding as a Project Engineer. From 2006 to 2010, they worked at Lockheed Martin in both the roles of ASIC and FPGA Design Engineering Manager and Electronics Engineer Staff. In 2010, they joined GE as a NPI Program Manager, managing contract teams around the globe. In 2015, they moved to Philips as a Field Action Program Manager. In 2016, they joined Viasat Inc. as an Engineering Program Manager. In 2018, they began working at Uber as a Senior Technical Program Manager. In 2020, they joined Motional as a Principal Engineer - System Safety and Senior Functional Safety Manager. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Head of Safety at ISEE.

Daniel Y. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Taiwan University between 1991 and 1995. Daniel then went on to earn a Master's degree in EECS from the University of Michigan in 1998. In 2019, they obtained an Iso 26262 certification from kVA by UL.
