Ryan Crutchfield has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in various companies. Ryan is currently the Vice President of Technology at iShared Transportation, a position they have held since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at The Biodiversity Group 501(c)(3) starting from May 2022.

In 2020, Ryan became a Fellow National at The Explorers Club, where they contributed to the club's mission of promoting scientific exploration in different fields.

Ryan also has experience in founding and creating FishMap.org, a web application dedicated to spreading knowledge and respect for fish species. Ryan started this venture in June 2013.

Previously, Ryan held positions at ID Logistics US, starting as the VP of Internal Systems & IT from December 2019 to July 2022. Before that, they worked at Jagged Peak, where they held several roles, including VP of Internal Systems & IT and Director of Internal Systems.

Ryan's early career includes positions at Hydrogen Media, Inc., TRAK Communications, Inc., and Digidyne, Inc., where they acquired programming and computer operation skills.

Ryan Crutchfield has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Archaeology from The University of Alabama, which they obtained from 1995 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Anthropology, with a minor in History, from Auburn University between 1992 and 1995. Ryan Crutchfield also holds a High School Diploma from Gulf Breeze High School, obtained from 1989 to 1992. In addition to their academic achievements, Ryan Crutchfield has obtained several certifications, including the Florida Master Naturalist Program: Freshwater Systems Module in 2019, Boating Safety certification from the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators in 2018, the Florida Master Naturalist Program: Upland Systems Module in 2018, and the Shipwrecks And Submerged Worlds: Maritime Archaeology certification from the University of Southampton through FutureLearn in 2017.
