Managing Editor, REDD at ISI Emerging Markets Group

Gabriel has 23 years’ experience as an emerging markets financial journalist and has covered emerging markets for Technical Data, Thomson Global Markets, IFR Magazine, IFR Latin America and ifrmarkets.com before launching and managing Debtwire Latin America, an online distressed debt and high yield corporate information product in 2004. In 2009, he became Debtwire’s Editor for Emerging Markets, managing high-performance teams spread throughout the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America. Along with REDD co-founder, Valeria Girimonte, Gabriel oversaw Debtwire’s emerging market sales, marketing and content strategy, leveraging his experience in Latin America to successfully turn around Debtwire’s CEEMEA product into a multi-million-dollar business. Gabriel holds a BA in economics from Skidmore College and studied at the University of London and the Juilliard School of Music, the latter as a concert violist and chamber musician.
