Salma Angkaya-Kuhutan, JD, CSAA, CIAE, IFQ, currently serves as a PFM Consultant at The World Bank, focusing on financial governance in the Bangsamoro region, and has held various consulting roles related to tax policies and Islamic finance. Concurrently, Salma is an Islamic Finance Consultant for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, a member of the Board at Al-Amanah Islamic Investment Bank, a Policy Consultant at the Philippine Center for Islam and Democracy, and an Honorary Fellow at the International Islamic Centre for Reconciliation and Arbitration. Salma has extensive legal experience as the founding principal of Salma F. Angkaya-Kuhutan Law Office, general counsel for Islamic Relief Worldwide’s Philippine branch, and legal advisor at AVA Consultancy, Inc. and SERVICE ECONOMY APPLICATIONS INC. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines Diliman and a Bachelor's in Business Administration, with ongoing studies in Real Estate Management.
