Amy Levine is an accomplished conservation professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles within conservation organizations and education. Currently serving as the Conservation Impact Director at Island Conservation and the Founder and President of Conservation Impact since February 2022, Levine has previously held multiple positions at the Denver Zoological Foundation, including Director of Field Conservation Programs and Director of Animal Welfare and Conservation, from 2006 to 2023. Academic contributions include serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder and a Visiting Instructor at Colorado College. Levine holds a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Colorado Boulder, alongside advanced degrees in Anthropology from Kent State University and a Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University that focuses on Anthropology and Natural Resources.
