Sarah Edwards, RRT, CPFT, MPH has a diverse work experience in the field of respiratory therapy and public health. Sarah is currently serving as the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services at Island Health since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from May 2017 to May 2020. In 2019, they gained experience as an MPH fieldwork intern at Stellar Health. From 2014 to 2016, Sarah worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Baptist Health, specializing in home health and sleep medicine. Sarah started their career as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Island Hospital in 2010, where they were responsible for critical care, ER, ICU, and pediatric patients, with additional experience in the Pulmonary Function Lab and Cardiac-Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Sarah Edwards, RRT, CPFT, MPH has a Master's degree in Public Health from the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy, a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Florida State College at Jacksonville, and an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Respiratory Care Therapy/Therapist from Pueblo Community College. Sarah is also certified as a CPFT and RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
