Tammy Needham

Tammy Needham has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Tammy currently holds the position of Chief Clinical Officer at Island Health since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at UNC Health as the VP Nursing/CNO at UNC Rockingham from October 2020 to December 2022. Tammy also served as the VP/CNO of Nursing and COO at UNC Rockingham Health Care from October 2020 to December 2022. Before their time at UNC Health, they worked at UNC Chatham where they held the roles of CNO/COO from April 2019 to October 2020 and VP/Chief Nursing Officer from August 2012 to October 2020. Tammy's experience also includes working as the Chief Nursing Executive at Sutter Davis, Sutter Health from September 2007 to August 2012. Tammy has previously held positions at University of N. Colorado Banner Health, Highpoint Regional, Travel Healthcare, Wake Medical trauma center, and Duke Raleigh.

Tammy Needham has a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Capella University. Tammy also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Additionally, Tammy completed the Virginia Appalachian Tricollege Nursing Program and earned their Registered Nurse (RN) license.
