Dan Margolin is an experienced surgical professional currently serving as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Saint Lukes East in Lee's Summit since January 2010, overseeing perioperative services and acting as Chief of Surgery. In addition, Dan has been an Assistant Professor of Surgery at UMKC since July 2004, directing the General Surgery medical student rotation at Saint Luke's Hospital. Dan also holds the position of General Surgery Clerkship Director and practices as a General and Minimally Invasive Surgeon at Saint Luke's Surgical Specialists, specializing in laparoscopic procedures, including operations on the gallbladder, appendix, colon, stomach, hernias, thyroid, and parathyroid. Dan completed a BA/MD degree in Biology at UMKC from 1992 to 1999.
