Sudarsha De Silva has a diverse work experience in various organizations and roles. In 2009, they worked as Chief Editor and Editor in Chief for EarthLanka, focusing on environmental issues in Sri Lanka. In 2010, Sudarsha co-founded Earthlanka Youth Network, an organization that works with young people to recognize their initiatives for development. Sudarsha also served as the Chapter Chair for the Global Youth Bio Diversity Network - Sri Lanka Chapter, focusing on preventing biodiversity loss and empowering youth to take action.

In 2018, Sudarsha worked as a Coordinator for the Sri Lanka SDG Stakeholder Platform, contributing to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. Sudarsha later worked as a Consultant - Communications Expert for Janathakshan, contributing to the mobilization of private and sub-national domestic investments for the 2030 agenda in Sri Lanka.

In 2020, Sudarsha took on the role of Hub Leader for Sri Lanka in the Sustainable Ocean Alliance, a global community of youth, entrepreneurs, and experts working towards solving challenges facing the ocean. Sudarsha also worked as a Consultant for the Drought Impact Assessment North & East project, addressing the adverse impacts of drought in Sri Lanka.

In 2021, Sudarsha became an Island Innovation Ambassador, supporting the advancement of innovation for sustainability and prosperity in islands worldwide. Sudarsha also worked as the Project Coordinator for the Coordination Team for the Expert Committee on Xpress Pearl Disaster at the Marine Environment Protection Authority, focusing on addressing the environmental and economic impacts of the maritime disaster.

Throughout their career, Sudarsha has demonstrated a commitment to sustainable development, environmental conservation, and youth empowerment.

Sudarsha De Silva earned a Master of Development Practitioners degree from the University of Peradeniya, specializing in Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences, and Management to design. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Journalism from the University of Colombo. Sudarsha also attended Trinity College Kandy from 1990 to 2004, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that period.
