Matt Hoyland 🏝️

Matt Hoyland has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Matt started their career as a Financial Consultant at AXA Advisors in 2013, where they helped small and midsize businesses and individuals find better strategies to meet their financial goals. Matt then joined Dougherty & Company LLC in 2014 as a VP Institutional Equity Sales, where they disseminated and analyzed institutional equity research and presented undervalued tech companies to mutual funds and hedge funds.

In 2016, Matt worked as a Strategic Partner Consultant at MNStarter, collaborating with founders on communication between state regulators and finding strategic backers, partners, or mentors for businesses with unconventional financing needs. Matt also worked at Oracle during the same year as an Applications Cloud Representative, focusing on finding new revenue opportunities, streamlining IT processes, and providing customers with IT solutions to modernize their systems and lower costs.

From 2018 to 2023, Matt worked at Secureworks as an Enterprise Account Field Executive, where they focused on cybersecurity and contributed to making organizations collectively smarter and safer. In their most recent role, Matt joined Island in 2023 as a Senior Account Executive, where they reimagine the IT stack and delivers a positive impact on cybersecurity and IT functions, while improving the end-user experience and productivity. Matt Hoyland attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics. Prior to this, they attended St Thomas Academy, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned.
