Víctor Galarraga-Oropeza

Víctor Galarraga-Oropeza is an experienced professional in the fields of health mediation, interpretation, and community health activism, currently serving as a Médiateur en santé at the Association ENVIE since October 2023. With a background as an Interprète at ISM Interprétariat and a Community Health Activist at AIDES, Galarraga-Oropeza has also held roles such as Responsable de Formation at Chipotle Mexican Grill and HIV/AIDS Activist at Act Up-Paris. Academically, Galarraga-Oropeza holds a Doctorate in Latin American Studies from Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, a PhD in English/Spanish from the University of Iowa, and a Master's degree from the same institution. Additionally, a Bachelor's degree in Linguistics was earned at Universidad Central de Venezuela.
