John Strafford Phd

John Strafford has over 20 years of work experience in business development and alliance management roles within the pharmaceutical industry. John is currently employed as the Business Development Director at Isomorphic Labs since April 2023. Prior to that, they held leadership positions at Silence Therapeutics plc from 2018 to 2023, including SVP, Head of Business Development, Alliance Management, and New Product Development. John also served as the Senior Business Development Manager at ADVANZ PHARMA from 2015 to 2018. Before that, they worked at NovaSecta Ltd as an Engagement Manager from 2012 to 2015 and at Navigant (formerly Easton Associates) as a Managing Consultant from 2010 to 2012. Their earlier experience includes working as a Business Development Manager at Antisoma from 2007 to 2010 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh from 2002 to 2003.

John Strafford's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Molecular Biology from The University of Edinburgh, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. John then pursued an MRes (Distinction) in Bioinformatics at the University of York from 2003 to 2004. Later, from 2004 to 2007, they obtained a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from UCL.
