R&D Process Manager at ISORG

Sylvain De Vecchi has over 17 years of work experience in various technical and managerial roles. Sylvain'smost recent position is as an R&D Process Manager at Isorg since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Technical Project Manager at CEA Liten from June 2020 to February 2023.

From August 2017 to February 2020, Sylvain served as the Team Lead Microfabrication at PANAXIUM. In this role, they were responsible for leading the Microfabrication R&D and industrialization efforts, including the fabrication of ultra-flexible electrodes for medical applications. Sylvain managed a team of R&D engineers and oversaw the process R&D and industrialization program.

Before joining PANAXIUM, Sylvain worked at SUNPARTNER TECHNOLOGIES from July 2013 to July 2017. Sylvain served as an R&D Project Manager and a Device and Process R&D Engineer. During this time, they focused on the design, simulation, and process development of invisible semi-transparent thin film solar cells for various applications.

Sylvain began their career as a PhD Student at CEA from July 2010 to June 2013, specializing in Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cell research. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Epitaxial Solar Cell Team at IMEC from June to December 2009. In this role, they contributed to the development of a new industrial process for building low-cost solar cells.

Before their work in the solar cell industry, Sylvain gained experience in the field of electrical vehicles as an R&D Engineer at Iveco from March 2007 to September 2008. Sylvain also worked as an Engineer in the Safety System Department at Egis Rail from September 2006 to February 2007, where they conducted studies on automatic incident detection for subway lines and participated in the design of a prototype.

Through their diverse work experience, Sylvain has demonstrated expertise in R&D management, project management, microfabrication, solar cell technology, and electrical vehicles.

Sylvain De Vecchi has an extensive education history in various fields. Sylvain pursued their Bachelor's and Master's degree in electrical engineering from Grenoble INP - Ense3 from 2003 to 2006. Sylvain then went on to complete a Post Master program in renewable energy, specializing in photovoltaics, at Mines Paris from 2008 to 2009. Later, Sylvain obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in material science from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, which they completed between 2010 and 2013.
