Principal Space Mechanisms Engineer & Team Leader at Israel Aerospace Industries

Ben Alman has extensive work experience in the field of mechanisms for space. Ben started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at USR Electronics in 2004 and later worked as a Mechanical & Mechanisms Engineer at Ziv Av Technologies from 2005 to 2007. Ben then joined IAI - Israel Aerospace Industries in 2010 as a Mechanisms Engineer, specializing in deployable booms, antennas, and hold-down & release mechanisms. Ben later became a Senior Mechanisms Engineer & Mechanical Lead, responsible for leading mechanical aspects and working on 2-axis gimballed antennas. Currently, Ben is the Principal Space Mechanisms Engineer & Team Leader at IAI, leading a team and continuing to specialize in various space mechanisms.

Ben Alman earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering in 2004. In 1998, they completed their Practical Engineering education in Mechanical Engineering from Ort Singalovsky. Ben then pursued their Master of Engineering degree in System Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, which they obtained in 2010. Lastly, they graduated with an MBA degree in Business Administration and Management from Bar-Ilan University in 2017.
