Michal Shemesh

Michal Shemesh is a seasoned data product manager with extensive experience in data management and analysis at the Israel Nature and Parks Authority since July 2018. Michal's expertise encompasses leading and executing diverse data projects, employing tools such as MS Excel, Python, Rstudio, and QGIS for data manipulation, ETL, and visualization. Prior experience includes a data science internship at Science to Data Science, where Michal contributed to developing a deep learning data pipeline, and roles as a teaching and research assistant at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Michal has also worked in various capacities at the Weizmann Institute of Science, the Tisch Family Biblical Zoo, and the Israel Defense Forces, showcasing a rich background in both scientific education and data-driven initiatives. Michal holds a Master of Science in Ecology, Evolution & Behavior and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
