Joshua Manuel Bonet is a seasoned professional in legislative affairs, currently serving as a Senior Legislative Associate at Issue One since October 2022. In this role, Joshua spearheaded initiatives with the Fix Congress Cohort, leading to the creation of the Committee on House Administration’s Subcommittee on Modernization, and has orchestrated over 30 Congressional meetings. Previously, Joshua worked as a Policy Assistant at the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration, acting as a primary contact for the House Committee on Natural Resources and the US Climate Alliance, coordinating over 100 meetings with government stakeholders. Joshua's experience also includes roles as a Project Intern at the ACLU, a Research and Administrative Intern at the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators, and an intern for the Senate of Puerto Rico. Joshua holds a degree in Political Science with a focus on Gender from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, completed in 2020.
