Markus Ebbers

Markus Ebbers has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles within the IT sector. Markus began their career at Accenture as a Senior Business Process Consultant, specializing in logistics and distribution processes and SAP modules. Markus then joined Viterra Energy Services as the Head of Development System Business, where they were responsible for developing IT applications and metering devices. At ista, Markus held several senior positions, including Head of System Integration, Business Unit Manager System Development, and SVP roles in CIT Demand Management, Corp. Solution Management, and CIT Application Management. In these roles, they managed budgets, personnel, and IT strategies, and played a significant role in developing new customer products and service offerings. Throughout their career, Markus has gained extensive experience in IT operations, development, project management, and process reengineering across various industries.

Markus Ebbers has a diverse education history spanning different fields of study. Markus began their educational journey in 1989 by pursuing a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Dipl.-Ing. Maschinenbau FH) at Hochschule Niederrhein, which they completed in 1994. During their time at Hochschule Niederrhein, they also engaged in Bachelor studies in Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University in 1992 and 1993.

In 1994, Markus enrolled at EDHEC Business School and pursued a full-time postgraduate Business Administration study, earning a European Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in 1995. Continuing their management education, from 2010 to 2013, they attended the Universität St.Gallen (HSG), Executive School, Law & Management, completing the General Management Program of ista.

Aside from their formal education, Markus Ebbers also completed an Industrial Mechanic Apprenticeship at Aluminium Norf, Neuss, Deutschland from 1989 to 1991.

Most recently, Markus obtained a certification in "Azure: Der große Überblick" from LinkedIn in August 2023.
