Clayton Shaffer

Clayton Shaffer has held a variety of positions in the biotechnology industry since 2013. Clayton began their career as a Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Researcher at North Carolina State University in 2013. Clayton then moved on to Hospira as a Manufacturing Science and Technology Intern in 2014, followed by a Global Manufacturing Engineering Intern role at Biogen in 2015. In 2016, they joined Pfizer as a Technical Professional Development Program participant. In 2017, they began working at AveXis, Inc., where they held the roles of Downstream Manager, Downstream Supervisor, and Bioprocess Engineer III. In 2020, they joined Istari Oncology as the Associate Director of CMC and Drug Substance Operations Manager.

Clayton Shaffer attended North Carolina State University from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
