Barbara Ortensi

Barbara Ortensi is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the European Institute of Oncology since 2009, focusing on applied research related to cancer stem cells and the role of microRNAs in brain cancer therapies. Prior to this role, Barbara Ortensi completed a PhD in Molecular Medicine and Oncology at The Open University from 2004 to 2008. Experience includes a Research Fellow position at the European Institute of Oncology, developing lentiviral vectors for primary cell culture studies, and conducting genetic screenings at Università degli Studi di Milano to explore gene interactions. Educational background includes a degree in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Molecular Biology from Università degli Studi di Milano.
