Francesco Tortorella

Francesco Tortorella serves as the Executive Director at AIEC Associazione Internazionale per una Economia di Comunione since February 2024 and as a Training Consultant at Istituto Universitario Sophia from May 2022. With extensive experience as a consultant and trainer in development cooperation, social economy, and sustainable development, Francesco has contributed to numerous national and international conferences since September 2004. Francesco held the position of Head of the International Cooperation and Development Department at AMU - Azione per un Mondo Unito onlus from October 2007 to January 2024, where responsibilities included strategy development, personnel training, and financial management. Additionally, Francesco has served on various boards and held senior consulting roles, focusing on social inclusion and fair trade initiatives, while possessing educational qualifications ranging from Bachelor's degrees in Theology and Development to a Master's in Development Cooperation Policies. Currently, ongoing education includes courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Scuola di Limes.
