Thirumal Valavan Harikrishnan is a highly experienced engineer specializing in model-based controls, with a career spanning from intern to lead engineer at Isuzu North America since May 2017. Roles include Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer focused on engine control systems and control system design. Prior to Isuzu, Thirumal served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, contributing to a Ford-UM Alliance project on control architecture. From November 2010 to July 2016, Thirumal worked at the Defence Research and Development Organisation, managing the Engine Research Group and developing a thermodynamic model of a turbocharged Wankel engine. Thirumal holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering Technology from PSG College of Technology.
