Michael E. Akhbari

Michael E. Akhbari, PMP has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the federal sector. From 2022 to the present, they are serving as the President of ITA Global Security at ITA International. In this role, they are responsible for leading and evaluating program performance and staff for the Global Security Business Unit.

Prior to their current position, from 2019 to 2022, Michael was the Vice President of Operations at Frontier Technology. Here, they strategized and executed operations for multiple business units, focusing on supporting the federal sector. Michael E. managed profit and loss, developed program strategies, and worked towards achieving business objectives.

From 2008 to 2018, Michael held several roles at NCI, Inc. Michael E. served as the Vice President of Operations and Program Manager for NCI's largest program, PEO Soldier SETA and Logistics Support Services. Michael E. successfully managed contract negotiations, project execution, and transitioned professional services contracts, significantly expanding the company's personnel and locations.

At NCI, Michael also served as the Deputy Program Manager and Director of Operations for the PEO Soldier contract. Michael E. supervised NCI Team Soldier personnel and managed financial reporting, invoicing, subcontractor negotiation, and personnel performance. Additionally, they worked as the Director of Operations, managing multiple programs and ensuring customer requirements were met.

Prior to their time at NCI, Michael worked at MTC Technologies as a Corporate Pricing/Business Operations Analyst from 2005 to 2008.

Michael E. Akhbari, PMP has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Economics from Denison University. Michael E. also completed the Executive Development Program at The Wharton School. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in 2012, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Sinclair Community College Quality Program in 2007, and a DAWIA Level I Program Management, Contracting, Logistics, Business Cost Analysis and Financial Management certification from Defense Acquisition University in 2007.
