Maurice Connelly

Maurice Connelly has over 25 years of work experience in various engineering roles. Maurice is currently working as a Senior Process Engineer at Itafos, where they support the production of phosphoric and super phosphoric acid and has also been involved in the commissioning of an Anhydrous Ammonia tank system and the engineering development of a Fluorosilicic Acid production system.

Prior to their current position, Maurice worked at Huntsman from 2014 to 2020 as a Senior Process Engineer. Maurice supported the production of MDI and MDI Variants and was responsible for revamping the DPA and Ammonia production processes to increase capacity and improve quality.

From 2013 to 2014, Maurice worked at PotashCorp as a Senior Process Engineer, where they focused on process and production engineering for phosphoric and sulfuric acid plants. Maurice also worked on driving initiatives to improve operational safety and environmental performance.

Before PotashCorp, Maurice worked at Cabot Corporation from 2007 to 2013 as a Senior Unit Engineer. In this role, they managed a 24/7 operation of engineered chemical micropowder production and led PHA events on several systems. Maurice also conducted a Kaizen to improve the changeover time between different chemistries.

From 2004 to 2007, Maurice worked at Metaldyne as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer. Maurice was responsible for plating and coating for a Mercedes project and managed the start-up of the Metaldyne China knuckle machining plant.

Before Metaldyne, Maurice worked at TRW from 2001 to 2004 in various roles including Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer and Project Engineer. Maurice had experience in process development for advanced technologies and program management responsibilities for coating and anodizing projects.

Maurice began their career at The Woodbridge Group in 1995, where they held various roles including Process Engineering Manager and Corporate Process Engineer. Maurice managed a technical staff and successfully reduced scrap on a polyurethane foam line.

Maurice also has experience working as a Project Engineer at Entech Personnel Services, where they conducted aerosol sampling and analysis, and as a Resource Management Specialist at BETZ MetChem, where they supervised an industrial wastewater treatment plant and conducted water treatment for various industrial process equipment.

Maurice Connelly pursued their undergraduate education at the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1994. During their time at the university, Maurice obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Chemical Engineering. Later, they enrolled at Walsh College for their postgraduate studies.
