Passive Safety Engineering at Italdesign

Michela Carenzo has over 10 years of experience in various engineering roles. Michela started their career at Italdesign Giugiaro S.p.A. in 2012 as a Passive Safety Engineering, focusing on NCAPs Ratings and Approvals. Prior to that, they worked at A.P.S. Technology S.r.l. in 2011, where they specialized in Passive Safety Engineering, specifically in the design and installation of seat belts and child seats. Michela gained experience in Italy (FIAT) and internationally (AUDI, VW, SEAT). In 2010, Michela worked at ABAC Aria Compressa S.p.A. as a Project Engineer, where they designed air compressors and focused on safety certifications. From 2007 to 2010, they worked at Italdesign Giugiaro as a Project Engineer, specializing in the design and production of door panels for a well-known European automotive company, as well as active and passive safety elements like seat belts.

Michela Carenzo obtained their Maturità Scientifica degree from Liceo Scientifico in the year 2002, where they studied subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, English, Science, Italian, History, and Philosophy. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino from 2002 to 2007. Michela then furthered their education at Politecnico di Torino and completed a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from 2007 to 2010. In September 2011, Michela passed the Esame di Stato per l'abilitazione di Ingegnere certification exam, which qualifies their to work as an Engineer.
