Rahul Aras

Rahul Aras has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Rahul is currently the President & CEO of Iterion Therapeutics, a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on developing novel cancer therapeutics. Prior to that, they served as a Business Development Consultant at Harrington Discovery Institute at University Hospitals.

Rahul also co-founded and served as the President & CEO of Juventas Therapeutics, Inc., where they successfully led the company through multiple rounds of equity financings and completed multiple FDA-allowed Phase 2 clinical trials for gene therapy.

Additionally, they worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Cleveland Clinic Ventures, where they managed a virtual biotechnology company and led it through seed financing and clinical studies. Rahul was also responsible for developing and implementing commercialization strategies for the National Center for Accelerated Innovation at Cleveland Clinic.

Furthermore, Rahul has experience as an advisor and co-founder, President & CEO at SironRX Therapeutics, where they focused on topical gene therapies for wound healing. Prior to that, they served as the Director Life Sciences at Cleveland Clinic Innovations, managing the commercialization of therapeutic and diagnostic technologies.

Rahul began their career as a Senior Licensing Associate at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and as a Business Venture Analyst at New York University School of Medicine. Rahul also worked as a Research Technician at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Rahul Aras obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Research from the NYU School of Medicine's Sackler Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, completing the degree program from 1998 to 2002. Prior to their doctoral studies, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Child Development from Tufts University between 1992 and 1996.
