Elisa Vargas

Elisa Vargas is an experienced design leader currently serving as the Director of Product Design at ITHAKA since September 2021. Simultaneously, Elisa holds the position of Adjunct Faculty in the Engineering Design Innovation Program at Northwestern University, where guidance has been provided to graduate students and contributions have been made to award-winning projects. With a strong background at Motorola Mobility, Elisa has held various leadership roles including Global UX Design Director, overseeing large teams and driving innovative software solutions for multiple product launches. Additional contributions to the design community include being a Founding Board Member of InsideOut Design Leader Community and a history of teaching and mentoring in academic settings. Elisa earned an M.Des. in Strategic Design Planning & Communication Design from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a BA in Art History from the University of Chicago.
