Philip Cadell

Philip Cadell has extensive work experience in the IT industry, with a focus on cloud solutions and architecture. Philip has held various roles in different companies, starting with Metal Storm Ltd as a Weapons Control System Engineer. Philip then worked as CTO at ODI-MC Pty Ltd, where they were responsible for designing and developing a modular computer architecture. Philip also worked as an Engineering Contractor at Metromatics pty ltd and as a Senior Product Design Engineer. At Queensland University of Technology, they were a Postgraduate Student and worked on a data fusion unit project. Philip has also worked at Genie Solutions as a Team Lead and Senior Ops Engineer, where they developed next-generation cloud-based practice management software. Philip has experience in the healthcare industry as well, having worked at the Australian Digital Health Agency as a Lead Architect. Philip has been with Itoc, an IT services company, since 2019, initially as a Solutions Architect and currently as the Head of Cloud Solutions. Philip's latest role is at Thoughtworks, where they are the Head of Cloud Modernisation APAC, responsible for defining products and services to meet the cloud migration and modernization needs of various markets across the APAC region.

Philip Cadell earned a Bachelor's degree in Electronics with Honours and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, majoring in Software Engineering and minoring in Telecommunications, from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 2001 and 2005. Philip also holds a Master's degree in Engineering, specializing in Embedded Systems and Software Engineering, obtained from the same institution between 2009 and 2012. In 2018, Philip obtained a certification in ITIL Foundations from DDLS.
