Greg Richards

Greg Richards is the Senior Vice President, Global Product Development at Itron. Greg has been with the company since December 2015 and in their current role, they are responsible for the technical direction and long-term strategy of the $2.4B IIOT corporation. Greg partners with customers to solve complex problems and provides leadership to the senior most technical community.

Some of the notable accomplishments during their time at Itron include leading companywide product ideation and proof of concepts such as EV home integration, increasing patents and improving product offerings, developing customer focused project and R&D budgeting processes to further revenue growth, building strategic partnerships between customers and technology providers for complete solutions, and driving predictability in the R&D budgeting process by establishing a data driven project selection.

Prior to joining Itron, Greg spent 4 years at HP as the Vice President & General Manager of Technology Services. Before HP, they spent a year at Oracle as the Senior Director / GM of Asia Pacific Advanced Customer Services and prior to that they were the Director of Korean Professional Services at Sun Microsystems.

Greg Richards has a Masters Certificate in Program Management from The George Washington University, a Masters in Management of Technology from the University of Denver, and a BS in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman.

They are on a team with John Marcolini - SVP, Networked Solutions, Chris Ware - VP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, and Justin Patrick - SVP Device Solutions. Their manager is Tom Deitrich, President & CEO.
