Shady Yahia

Shady Yahia has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Shady started their career at NewSoft in 2006 as a Web Developer, where they worked on developing web sites using ASP.NET, C#, and VB. Shady then moved on to E-Localize as a Web Developer, where they continued to develop web sites using ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, and AJAX.

In 2008, Shady joined Sakhr Software as a Senior Software Engineer in the Professional Services department. Here, they implemented web and desktop applications, integrated with MS-WSS 3.0 and MS-SharePoint 2007, and maintained web applications using ASP.NET.

Continuing their career, Shady worked at DashSoft as a Senior Software Developer in 2010. Shady developed a Flickr search page using Flickr client API and jQuery, as well as a web site using ASP.NET 3.5, C#, and SQL Server.

From 2011 to 2013, Shady worked at HP as a Senior Software Developer, contributing to the development of the web portal for leapcard.ie. Shady was involved in enabling people to purchase/top up/add tickets for local transportation cards and providing back-end administrators with financial and transaction reports using ASP.NET.

In 2013, Shady joined Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer. Shady worked on the Bing Translator's Front-End Team, maintaining a test automation tool for testing web pages across different browsers. Shady also created a JavaScript calendar using native JavaScript and CSS.

Shady then joined Khatib & Alami in 2015 as a Lead Application Developer. After that, they worked at ITWorx as a Lead Software Engineer in 2017, where they implemented scalable and secured cloud-based solutions using RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Shady also implemented DevOps tasks and deployed resources using AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.

At ITWorx, Shady took on the role of Principal Software Engineer in 2023. Shady implemented the Pub/Sub pattern and utilized various AWS services such as AWS Cognito, SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Oracle DB, and OpenSearch. Shady also implemented a configurable dynamic report generation framework for generating PDF, PPT, and Excel reports.

Shady Yahia obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computers and Information Sciences from Ain Shams University, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. Prior to attending university, Shady completed their high school education at Tawfekya School from 1999 to 2001. In terms of additional certifications, they received the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022. Shady also obtained the MCPD: Web Developer .NET Framework 4 certification from Microsoft in May 2012 and the Amazon Web Services Developer - Associate certification from Amazon in December 2019.
