Daisy Maryon is an experienced conservationist and educator with expertise in tropical ecology and wildlife management. Currently serving as a member of the IUCN SSC Iguana Specialist Group and a project coordinator at Kanahau Utila Research and Conservation Facility since 2016, Daisy leads a project focused on the Utila spiny-tailed iguana. Additionally, Daisy has been an hourly paid lecturer at the University of South Wales since 2013, conducting labs and fieldwork across various ecology modules. Previous roles include camp manager and assistant schools manager with Operation Wallacea, as well as experience in otter project assistance at Cardiff University and bird reserve management with BirdLife International. Daisy holds a PhD in Utila spiny-tailed iguana from the University of South Wales and a BSc in International Wildlife Biology.
