Claudio Sole

Claudio Sole has extensive work experience in the field of data science and optimization. Claudio is currently working as a Data Scientist at IVADO Labs since January 2022. In this role, they focus on solving revenue management problems related to pricing and demand forecasting using stochastic optimization and machine learning techniques. Claudio'smain goal is to make data-driven decisions that optimize performance metrics such as sales and revenue, while ensuring data efficiency, robustness, and explainability.

Prior to their current position, Claudio worked as a PHD Candidate in Applied Mathematics (Machine Learning, Operations Research) at Polytechnique Montréal, GERAD, and CIRRELT from August 2016 to October 2021. During this time, they conducted research in various areas of machine learning and operations research, specifically in the context of their PHD studies.

Additionally, Claudio gained industry experience as a Research Intern at JDA Software from September 2017 to October 2018. In this role, they contributed to research projects related to optimization and supply chain management.

Claudio Sole's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled at Università degli Studi di Padova. Claudio pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and completed their studies in 2013. Following this, Claudio joined Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in 2013 to further expand their knowledge in the field. Claudio pursued a Master's degree in Computer Engineering and successfully completed their studies in 2015. In 2018, Claudio attended a summer school at École des Ponts ParisTech & Air France, where they focused on Operations Research and Machine Learning.
