Carine Defix

Carine Defix has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. In 2000, they began their career as a Legal Counsel at AEI and later worked as a Legal Counsel at AUPTIMUM FRANCE. In 2001, they joined Cybeosphere as a Legal Counsel and then moved on to Me Laurence Riffier in 2002, where they served as a Legal Counsel. Carine then joined Lucent Technologies in 2003, assuming the role of Legal Counsel within the Human Resources department. In 2005, Carine took on the position of Head of Legal France at Dimension Data, and later became the Head of legal Europe from 2012 to 2018.

In 2019, Carine founded their own consulting company, Carine Defix Consulting SASU. Carine also joined Ivalua the same year, where they initially served as an EMEA Senior legal counsel Data privacy expert. In 2021, Carine was promoted to the position of Senior Director, Legal Commercial EMEA - Data Privacy Manager at Ivalua.

Carine Defix completed their education with a Master's Degree in French and English/American business law (US: federal and State of New York law mainly) from CY Cergy Paris Université in 1997-1998. Prior to this, they earned another Master's Degree specializing in International Business/Trade/Commerce from the University of London in 1996-1997. Furthermore, they pursued a Master's Degree in European and International business law from Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France between 2000 and 2001. Lastly, in 2015-2016, Carine completed an Advanced Leadership Development Program at IE Business School.
