Monika Hathaway

Monika Hathaway currently serves as the Head of Communications at iVerify since March 2025 and has been the Press Team Lead for DEF CON since May 2016, contributing to the world's longest-running and largest underground hacking conference. Previous roles include Senior Vice President at 5W Public Relations, where tenure lasted from April 2021 to March 2025, and Technology Group Vice President at N6A from May 2019 to April 2021. Monika has also held positions at LEWIS Global Communications as Managing Director, Node PR as Founder/CEO, and in various roles at Ogilvy Public Relations, FleishmanHillard, Highwire PR, and Sterling Communications. Monika Hathaway holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising from Chapman University and has additional educational experience at Technische Universität Dortmund and Saratoga High School.
