Sharat Warrier

Sharat Warrier has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Their most recent position is as the Head of Culture Media at Ivy Farm Technologies, where they have been since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Team Lead, Culture Media at the same company from 2021 to 2022.

Before joining Ivy Farm Technologies, Sharat was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oxford from 2018 to 2021, where they focused on investigating the role of complement proteins in relation to the progression of Alzheimer's disease.

In addition, they have been a Part-time Lecturer at the University of Oxford's Department for Continuing Education, teaching courses in Experimental and Translational Therapeutics and Nanotechnology Medicine and Health Care from 2019 to 2021.

Prior to their time at Oxford, Sharat worked at Ghent University as both a Research Assistant and a Doctoral Researcher. Their research there involved transcriptomic and epigenomic analysis of early human embryo development and human embryonic stem cells. Sharat also mentored postgraduate theses.

Sharat began their career as a Postgraduate Student at the Indian Institute of Clinical Research & Management in 2011. Before pursuing higher education, they gained professional experience at PROJEX Dubai as a Marketing Coordinator and at JACKYS Electronics and Sharaf DG as a Sales Representative at GITEX Technology Week.

Sharat Warrier has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Stem Cell Biology from Ghent University. Sharat also has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Industrial and Commercial Biotechnology from Newcastle University. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biotechnology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Sharat has an additional certification in Postgraduate Diploma - Clinical Research & Pharmacovigilance from the Institute of Clinical Research, Bengaluru, India, obtained in the year 2012.
