Daan V. L. Beerkens is a research intern at Eindhoven University of Technology since August 2024, focusing on enhancing Perovskite Solar Cells through innovative hole selective self-assembled monolayers, with expected graduation in June 2025. Currently holding the position of project manager for autonomous projects in the Eindhoven region with Ivy Global.eu, Daan also has experience in data management at BAM group. Prior research internships include work at TNO on optimizing thin film semiconductors for solar water splitting and project involvement at Monash University in solar thermochemical energy storage. Daan has a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology and a diverse educational background including studies in visual communication and art. Key leadership experience includes serving as chairman of the 12th board at the Study Association Planck for Engineering Physics and Applied Science.
