Andreas Spiegel

Andreas Spiegel has extensive work experience in various roles related to sustainability and climate change. Andreas started their career as a Business Consultant at Accenture from 2001 to 2005. Andreas then worked as a Consultant in risk review at UBS from 2005 to 2006, where they conducted research on climate-related investment opportunities.

In 2006, Andreas joined Swiss Re, where they held several positions over a span of 12 years. Andreas started as a Senior Climate Change Advisor, where they steered Swiss Re's climate change strategy and executed key initiatives. Andreas also served as a scientific consultant and a member of the official Swiss climate delegation to the UNFCCC negotiations.

Andreas then became the Head of Sustainability and Political Risk at Swiss Re from 2012 to 2015, overseeing operational risk control and managing international teams. Andreas later served as the Group Head of Sustainability Risk from 2015 to 2018, where they had overall responsibility for maintaining and developing the Group's sustainability strategy. Andreas also served as a board member in various international organizations related to climate change.

In 2018, Andreas joined CARBON DELTA AG as a Board Member and Strategic Advisor until 2019. Andreas then worked as a Climate Change Strategy Consultant at RobecoSAM from March 2019 to November 2019.

Most recently, Andreas has been working as the Head of Account Management at IWB Industrielle Werke Basel since January 2020. Additionally, they have been an angel investor at vlot Ltd. since May 2019.
