André Grilo, Ph.D., serves as a researcher at the Design, Culture & Innovation Research Lab (LDCI/UFRGS) at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul since March 2021, focusing on Design Education and Design Epistemology. As a local leader for IxDA in Natal-RN, Brazil, and a guest author for UX Collective, André contributes to design discussions in various forums. With a writing presence on Medium since April 2015, André enhances insights in the field. Previously, André was an academic researcher at CAPES and held various design management roles at the Superintendência de Tecnologia da Informação - UFRN, overseeing the design area and project management for digital artifacts. André has also evaluated projects for the Programa Centelha, served on the scientific committee for Interaction Latin America 2018, and participated in the scientific committee for the 12th Congresso Norte-Nordeste de Pesquisa e Inovação. André holds a Ph.D. in Design from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, a Master’s degree in Design, and a Bachelor's degree in Design from the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte.
