Andy Spooner has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Andy started their career at E-Systems in 1985 as a Software Engineer and worked there until 1990. Andy then joined Optical Data Systems as a Software Engineer from 1989 to 1994. From 1993 to 1997, they worked as a Golf Professional at Mini Tours. In 1997, they joined Netspeed as a Software Engineer until 1998. At Cisco Systems Inc, they worked as a Software Engineer from 1997 to 2008. Andy then moved to Anue Systems in 2008 as a Software Architect. In 2012, they joined Ixia as a Principal Software Engineer II, a position they held until 2017 when they joined Keysight Technologies in the same role.

Andy Spooner attended Baylor University from 1980 to 1984, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science. Andy then pursued further education at Southern Methodist University from 1985 to 1990, earning a Master of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to their university studies, Andy attended Parkdale from 1962 to 1970, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree or studied a particular field.
